Java Games FAQ

Q: What are java games ?
A: Java games are like games found on your computer that can be downloaded to your mobile phone. Once downloaded you can play java mobile phone games as often as you like without occurring any additional charges i.e. pay once play any time.

Note that to download a java game your phone needs to be WAP enabled. The download typically takes about 1 minute over WAP. (Check with your mobile operator for charges relating to WAP usage, it normally cost around 10 pence a minute but will vary depending on your subscription).

Q: How can I get mobile phone games?
A: After placing your order, we will send a Service Message to your phone.

This appears in your phone inbox automatically. Go to your phone inbox once the service message is received. Highlight the Service Message and select Options Retrieve.
(You can find your inbox under Services in the main menu.)

After about 20 seconds you will be shown a description of the game. You must now select download to download your game. After the download completes (allow up to 60 seconds) you will get the message application saved.

NOTE: If there is insufficient memory on your phone you will be asked if you want to delete some existing applications. Highlight the applications you no longer need from the list presented and delete


Q: How do I play a game?

A: You can play the game at any time by selecting Applications from the main menu and choosing Select app. You should find your game in the list of applications. To play: highlight your game and select Options Open.

(Note you will NOT see your game under the menu item Games as it is stored under Applications).

After your game has been successfully downloaded it is a good idea to delete the Service Message as it is no longer valid. To do this go to Services/Service Inbox, highlight the service message and select Options Erase.
