The
four main UK mobile phone networks all offer
very similar tarrifs and the choice is sometimes
overwhelming. However don't despair as we will
steer you in the right direction. As a brief
overview, the way that the charges work is that
the mobile phone network subsidises the ordinal
cost of the phone. To recoup the costs the networks
charge you a monthly fee for a minimum of 12
months.
Each
tariff varies and may or may not offer;
These
tariffs can offer you great value but only if
you use all of your free text messages or minutes.
However Orange, Tmobile and Vodafone will allow
you to 'roll over' any unused minutes usually
for a maximum of one month. Although currently
O2 does not offer this service.
Its
also worthwhile noting that there are some talk
plans which are designed specifically for off
peak users or weekend
users. And also tariffs and deals which are
designed for peak
users for calls made during the day.
If
you are unsure what tariff would best meet your
needs we would recommend our helpful wizard

Orange
have launched their 'Your Plan' option where
users choose the amount of minutes they need,
and also messaging allocation. Create Your Plan
and choose and pay for exactly what you want.
You have the freedom and flexibility to choose
as much talk time, messages and Orange services
as you want. And because your needs will probably
change from time to time, Your Plan can change
too. Increase or decrease talk time and message
bundles and try out a new Orange service, it's
up to you.
