Basically the 6610 is a modified version of the 7210
handset being the same size, having the same colour
display and sharing many of the same features of its
predecessor including MMS, FM radio, GPRS and HSCSD.
The Nokia 6610 phone features easy navigation, four-way
scroll for easy navigation, Java applications including
pre-installed thermometer, currency and measurement
converter, portfolio manager and two games (Bounce and
ChessPuzzle).
With polyphonic ring tones and an integrated FM stereo
radio, the handset can offer high-quality sounds that
can be used as personal ringing tones and SMS alert
tones. The lightweight handset can store up to 150 text
messages, 300 entries in the phonebook and features
speed dialling for up to nine names, last number redial
facility as well as automatic redial, call waiting,
21 polyphonic and 10 monophonic preinstalled ringtones,
with the option to download your own if these are not
to your taste.
The 6610 can connect to the Nokia camera headset by
clipping the headset to the Pop Port connection and
then you can snap away with the digital VGA camera and
send pictures along with text to other compatible phones.
With a high-resolution 4,096 pixel colour display the
handset will display up to eight lines in Latin and
six lines in Chinese when message viewing, with adjustable
display brightness control and the facility to call
112 for Emergency Calls (number operates in specific
countries only) without SIM card and with key-locked
phone.
With stopwatch, clock, alarm clock, countdown timer,
wallpaper screen saver, currency converter plus IR and
cable connectivity options, this handset is ideal for
the mobile professional or business person.
